The 1600
model cat was introduced in 1960 and was known as the Polynesian for that
year. It was used extensively as
a race boat and had many of the rough water features
of the 1800 model in a smaller package.
When the 1500 model came out in 1961 it
slowly took sales from
the 1600 which faded from production.
