Greg Knutson
Whitefish, Montana
16 Cheetah and 15c
...
This is the
only example we have found of an all wood Power Cat to have survived
to today. Greg's parents bought two of these in 1958, picked
them up at the factory
in California and took them home to Montana. Their uncle took one
and they used
the other one. This one that they still own is the one that their
uncle had used. They
have been through many motor changes over the years, and seen lots of
use.
...
...My brother and I have
owned the 15c for almost 25 years now.
We rebuilt the boat, trailer, and motors several years ago.
When we got the wooden 16 footer about 10 yrs ago.
Its got a couple square feet of the fiberglass skin ripped off
on one bottom, from the last time used, but thats about all
thats wrong with it. Even has orig. seats and windshield.
My brother and I have talked ourselves into trying to sell all
our boat stuff.
This will include both the wood 16c, and the 15c.
Motors are the two 100s as in the pictures for the 15c,
with an almost compleat 100 short shaft spare,
the two original 70 powerheads mouted
on long shaft midsections, with one long shaft lower unit.
Also a mk75a [I think] 60hp parts motor plus some spare parts
and home-made tools and manual. We want to do the whole thing as
a package, not some of this, and some of that.
thanks,
Greg K.
