Getting Close !!
...
July 2006
After 27 years I put my 18c in the lake for the first time last Friday.
Considering the time since the engines had been run they both
started. After some carb work. I have 13 1/4 23 props on it. Right
from the start it ran pretty well. I ran about 15 gals of fuel each
through them in about 3 hours bombing around. At first the right
side motor seemed to bog some and was not inclined to tach up as was
the left. Over time the right side was getting better. I ended up
with about 4500rpm on both. I have a set of 21's that I am going to
put on before my next ride.  There are no words that
describe the rush it is to drive one of these boats. It is still
more of a thrill than I have ever gotten from cars, bikes, and etc.
