The photos that follow are of a small 20"x9"
tri-hull model that was made by Pat's dad
John Caffey. In the late 50's when the boat market
was moving away from dual engined boats as more
powerful 6cyl motors were becoming available,
a way to use a single engine on a cat type hull was
becoming a priority. Both John Caffey and Robert
Caffey worked with Ray Leger on the developement
of a tri-hull design and this model was part of that
that thought process.
