Original Miss Diablo III as raced by Ken Kitson
2 or 3 months ago Bob Valachovic from Scnectaty, N.Y. called & said he had bought
my old Miss Diablo III Switzer Wing and asked me if I would be intrested in driving
the boat in Clayton N. Y. The answer was yes!! Many conversations back and
forth and hearing the progress being made I get more excited every day.
On dec.16,2003 I'll be..... [ let's put it this way,I walked out in my driveway &
found a rock younger than me], But plan on being at Clayton Aug.2004 to drive my
old wing Miss Diablo III. I plan on getting on the internet more often because
I enjoy seeing some of the people I raced with and some of the boats I drove and
raced against.

These are some photos of the 1968 Switzer wing Miss Diablo III that is being
re-done. The photos were taken a while back and I just did not have time to post them.
The inner structure is the most important and a jig had to be made not to have the boat
loose its shape. most of the wood 99% was gone.The balsa on the driver sponson floor
was gone and has been replaced with Klegg cell. The rest of the balsa in the boat is
excellent. A die grinder was used to separate the old wood from the hull. This being
the lightest fiberglass Switzer Wing known to be built ,all weight was a first
consideration and the boat will keep it's lightness.
