I
am the original owner of this 1976 16t
(possibly one of the last ones
produced).
After 40 years, I have decided to part
with it (I had it over twice as long as
my first wife!).
I started to refresh it one more time. I
completely overhauled the trailer
sandblasted & powder coated it, put
a new
axle on and new rollers &
hardware. The trailer has
additional hardware for carpeted guides,
but are not assembled
as I was working on the boat.
The hull is a 1976 16t, and the motor is
a 1977 Chrylser 135 hp. The motor still
runs great.
The lower unit could probably use new
seals, but the top end is still strong.
I was told by a boat mechanic in Katy,
that the boat needs a new transom &
floor.
